If you find yourself in Vegas at 11 pm or midnight or even later, and find yourself craving the indulgence of an amazing New York style eatery that boasts sky high pies, cakes and deserts, you won’t find yourself short of options.
After all, you’re in Vegas, the other city that never sleeps, and you’ll never be too far away from an amazing place to have a nice desert and coffee. (Article continued below the slide show.)
At the Mirage in the hall with the shops and restaurants that leads to the casino from the strip entrance, you’ll find a true New York transplant eatery called The Carnegie deli.
Their chilled desert cooler faces the entrance and walkway for good reason. The sky high deserts are mouth watering works of art that are sure to sell themselves by their looks only! The place was fairly busy even in the wee hours of the morning, so Aunty Matty’s rule won the day.
If a place is busy, it must be good! So we dropped in for a late night desert.
We chose the mile high chocolate cake, and even though most of the slices are priced in $7 to $8 range, don’t worry as you’ll end up easily sharing one order between two people without any problem. The servings are massive!
Actually we ended up taking our order up to our room where we had a bottle of Champaign on chill, so it made the perfect end cap to our last night in Vegas.
Of course we’ll be back to Vegas soon, and look forward to enjoying another visit to Carnegie Deli in the Mirage.
If you decide to go, please tell them you heard about it on Primo Vegas! Bon appetite and happy desert eating in Vegas!
