Have you heard of Big Elvis? He is close to becoming a Las Vegas institution and we love him! Big Elvis is .. well … one of the biggest and best Elvis impersonators out there. And his shows are free, if you know where to find him.
We first fell in love with him about a decade ago when he was a regular at Wild Bill’s Gammblin’ Hall, next door to the Flamingo, where he used to wow the day time crowds with his charisma, energy, and fabulous Elvis songs, that so many Vegas visitors came to know and enjoy.
A few years ago they closed Bill’s to start renovations which saw the place re-open very recently as the very tony Cromwell, a new, high-end “boutique” hotel that offers its own updated attractions, which we’ll talk about in a different post. As for Big Elvis, he moved shop a few doors north on the strip, up to the Piano Bar at Harrah’s, where he performs four times weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 2 and 6 pm).
If you’re in the area we strongly recommend you check out his show, which is free, and you’ll see him holding court from his throne right inside the Panio Bar at Harrah’s as you walk in the casino’s south side main entrance. His show is great, and you’ll find you want to stay for one number after another. Just tell him you heard about his show from Primo Vegas!
