The Primo Vegas team spent several days at the Mirage in June of 2014, and the pool was one of our main draws to this property.
For a number of years our go-to Vegas hotel and pool was the Flamingo, but their pool has now become overrun by noisy, drunken younger guests. Combined with the blaring music, the Flamingo became less pleasurable than it used to be.
We were extremely impressed with the Mirage pool setting as well as the staff. Even though we arrived mid morning when many of the chairs had already been taken by the first arrivers of the morning, the pool staff still helped us to the best of their ability to secure chairs and places to sit. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Something we had never experienced at the Flamingo.
The music at the Mirage pool is a lot more subdued and the whole setting is a lot more geared to relaxing for the adult crowd versus the drinking and rowdy crowd over at the Flamingo.
The pool deck itself is beautiful and the size of the pool is enormous, so it was never a case of too many people jammed into too small an area. Quite the opposite. And for those looking for shade, best to arrive early to secure chairs at the far end of the pool (towards Caesar’s Palace at the complete opposite end of the pool entrance). There is also a shade area on the right side of the pool (which is the west side of the property).
Poolside lounge chairs are very comfy and clean and the management did not appear to be as fussy as the Flamingo when it came to bringing non alcoholic beverages or outside food into the pool area. Overall, it was a lot more comfortable than our old favourite over at the Flamingo.
Enjoy the pictures and next time you go to Vegas, give the Mirage a try, and you’ll most likely very much enjoy your stay.
